Hobby Projects
I've always found joy in messing around with things to make them better, or just different. I enjoy working with my hands, and physical projects allow me to challenge my creativity, find solutions, and express myself with things I find beautiful...or at least neat.

The Cashies Rescue
Converted a beat to hell $50 pawn shop bass into a fretless, repaired the damage and filled the frets with coloured chalk and cyanoacrylate. Full blog breakdown here.
5-String Electric Mandolin
Really more of a mandola, this project was inspired by players like U. Srinivas and Michael Kang, and the original Fender Mandocaster.

Automotive Experience
I've always loved working on cars, and I've done quite a bit, perform all my own maintenance, modified, improvised, always just tackling whatever the project is and avoiding becoming discouraged. It is very meditative for me.
