Berry Field School / Joara / Fort San Juan

Field school in North Carolina that I attended as a student, and was hired to come back the next year and supervise groups of students and volunteers. The site is a 16th century Spanish fort built next to the native village of Joara. The site is noted for its incredibly vibrant features with a variety of clays. The below pictures are from 2017, and I remember being pretty proud of my groups clean profiles. Note the light colored clay pad, a foundation, in the overhead shots, and the row of post-holes above it, also visible between those is a hearth feature.
